Samantha Sellers, a fourth-grade student at Hylen Souders Elementary School, was recognized as the Big Walnut School Board-Student Citizen of The Month for November.
Samantha has attended Souders Elementary since her Kindergarten year. She is a fan of Ohio History and thoroughly enjoys participating in Souders’ annual variety show in the Spring.
“Samantha Sellers has been an outstanding student. She is a leader by example in the classroom. When finished with an assignment she is quick to pick up a book and read quietly or help another student if they need assistance,” Mr. Matt Wilson, Sellers’ fourth-grade teacher said. “She is consistently working on becoming better at everything she sets her sights on. She starts and ends the day with a smile on her face, sending kind words to others along the way … she truly is a remarkable student.”
Outside of the school setting, she is quite the diverse 10-year-old as she enjoys ballroom dancing and shooting BB guns. Her favorite color is red violet, and her favorite music is Pop. She lives with her mom and dad, Ken and Jaque Sellers and has four sisters and one brother (all older!).
We are proud of Miss Samantha’s career at Hylen Souders Elementary and have no doubt that she will succeed in future endeavors.
