Ohio Marketing Agencies Merge
COLUMBUS — Communica, Inc., a Toledo-based integrated marketing communications firm with offices in Charlotte, NC; Columbus; Detroit; Lexington, Kentucky and Shanghai, China; has merged with The Pursuit Group, a Toledo-based content marketing and funnel management firm with a Columbus office. The two companies have worked closely together for many years to service a global client base primarily in the business-to-business arena.
For three decades, Communica has developed smart, effective, award-winning advertising, marketing and public relations for an extensive list of clients locally, nationally and globally — from Fortune 500 companies to the latest startups. With the marketing, PR and advertising landscapes continuously changing and becoming more integrated, it made sense to combine the strengths of the two companies for expanded service to our clients.
According to Communica CEO Jeff Kimble, “We have worked closely with The Pursuit Group for years. They bring additional expertise to our clients and we felt that it was time to formalize our relationship.”
Since 2003, The Pursuit Group has helped business-to-business enterprises improve their revenue generation performance. The primary principals in the agency are Jeff Kimble, Debra Monagan, Barry Rosen and John Edwards. The agency will retain the name “Communica, Inc.” and Toledo as its headquarters where it currently occupies three buildings downtown. Downtown Toledo has been Communica’s home more than 27 years. Communica and The Pursuit Group are also in the process of consolidating their Columbus offices.
USI Expands Ohio Operation with Acquisition of Accelerated Benefits
VALHALLA, N.Y. – USI Insurance Services (“USI”), the number one employee benefits broker in Ohio, announced that Accelerated Benefits, the largest insurance agency in central Ohio, has joined the firm.
Founded in 1986 by Thomas P. Wagoner and headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, Accelerated Benefits and its employees will remain at the current Dublin location. Wagoner has been named president of USI Columbus Employee Benefit Division. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
