Popular Restaurant Will Open Eatery and Catering Operation On Scioto Riverfront
COLUMBUS – Sí Señor, the acclaimed, locally owned South American-inspired restaurant, will open a new location along the Scioto Mile at 200 Civic Center Drive. CC13, LLC, owned by developers Casto Partners and Robert Meyers, announced a lease agreement with Sí Señor to occupy space on the first floor of the building for a restaurant and catering facility.
Sí Señor opened on Long Street in 2010 and has operated at 72 East Lynn Alley since 2013. Owned by a native Peruvian family, Sí Señor is known for its Latin-influenced sandwiches, soups, deserts and natural juices all made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Yelp, a popular website aimed at connecting consumers with quality businesses, listed Sí Señor No. 5 on its 2016 Top 100 Places to Eat in Columbus. Sí Señor soon will open another new location near Grandview Heights.
Today’s announcement from CC13 follows recent leases with CBRE Group and Reminger Co., LPA, both of which relocated their offices to the state-of-the-art riverfront location in 2016, as well as BakerHostetler, First Commonwealth Bank and Disability Rights Ohio, each of which will move into 200 Civic Center Drive in the coming months. NiSource, parent company of Columbia Gas – the former owner of the building – also is a tenant.
The building, which consists of nearly 225,000 square feet of tenant space on 14 floors, is located in the heart of the River South District between new parks and residential projects. It overlooks both the Columbus central business district and the Scioto River’s redeveloped greenway space.
“Sí Señor will be an integral complement to the 200 Civic Center Drive building,” Meyers said. “Its authentic, superior-quality cuisine will be enjoyed by occupants of the building, as well as by those in neighboring downtown offices and visitors of the Scioto Mile.”
“Sí Señor looks forward to providing our many styles of Latin American foods to our new customers at 200 Civic Center Drive. This location will offer breakfast and lunch items with an American flare in addition to our Peruvian style foods that have been and will continue to be our signature fare,” said Guillermo Perez, owner of Sí Señor. “Our foods are prepared using as many locally supplied ingredients as possible. Our catering is targeted for those on the go, supplying offices not only with business breakfasts and lunches, but also home meal replacements for those who may not have time to cook.”
In addition to 200 Civic Center Drive, the Casto/Meyers office ventures include the 1600 Dublin Road complex, occupied by Time Warner and Columbia Gas of Ohio; 250 Civic Center Drive (formerly The Bicentennial Building), where Casto headquarters are located; and the LeVeque Tower, a mixed-use project that will include a 150-room Marriott Autograph Hotel, a nationally recognized restaurant and pub, a street-level Starbucks, 68 apartments and eight condominiums developed by Kaufman Development, and two penthouse condominiums developed by the ownership. Office space is being fully restored, and the 11th floor, which serves as the model floor, is available for tours. The office segment of the building is scheduled to begin a comprehensive restoration May 1.
