It’s that time of year for the Sunbury Lions to hold their annual “Lions Soup and Sub Dinner.”
In past years it was called the “Po’ Man’s Bean & Cornbread Dinner,” but the Sunbury Lions have gone upscale, and in keeping with the times, they’ve gone green, serving environmentally friendly, low-gas beans.
Unchanged is the location. Just show up at Sunbury Town Hall anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, March 12, with $5 in hand for bean or chicken noodle soup, chili, cornbread, and coffee or punch.
This year’s dinner will benefit area service men and women via Adopt a Soldier.
Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased from any Lions Club member or at the door.
