Jamie Annis, a 2014 Big Walnut graduate who ran hurdles for coach Joe Evener’s squad of girls, attends Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, where she runs track, focusing on hurdles.

Annis, a freshman at Grace because she took the 2014-15 school year off, is a national qualifier in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics’ Crossroads League.

At Indiana Wesleyan two weekends ago, Annis took her accomplishments a step higher when she had a top three finish at the National Christian College Athletic Association Indoor National Championships to earn All-American status. Annis set a school record and finished third in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.00 seconds – while nursing an injury.

The Grace College Lancers wrap up their indoor season this weekend at the 36th NAIA Indoor Championships at David E. Walker Track, Gentry Field, Johnson City, Tennessee, where Annis will run the 60-meter hurdles.
