It may be a bit of a drive for eastern Delaware County veterans, but Fairbanks High School in Milford Center, south of Marysville, is hosting a “Salute to Vietnam Era Veterans” on Friday, April 8.

There will be a meal and program exclusively for Vietnam era veterans to honor them and their service to their country. The evening will include military displays and a guest speaker, Warren Motts, founder and executive director of Motts Military Museum.

If you plan to attend, you are asked to RSVP Claudia Bartow by calling 937-349-6841, Ext.1411, or email Bartow at cbartow@fairbanks.k12.oh.us.

Due to space limitations, veterans are asked to bring only one guest.

Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and the meal will begin at 6 p.m. with the program to follow.

The former Heroes from the Heartland organization, Fairbanks Local Schools and Fairbanks FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) are sponsoring the event.

Fairbanks High is at 11158 State Route 38, Milford Center.
