4-H Club’s walkathon raises $525 for Bella Run

Members of Sunbury Halter & Saddle 4-H Club held a walkathon at Hogback Ridge Preserve in Delaware County on April 30. Club president Jocie Cardi said that, as of last Saturday, the 4-H club had raised $525 to donate to Bella Run Equine, with additional money still coming in. Members of Sunbury Halter & Saddle 4-H Club held a walkathon at Hogback Ridge Preserve in Delaware County on April 30 to benefit Bella Run Equine.

Bella Run Equine is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that rescues, rehabilitates and adopts out horses destined for slaughter plants in Canada and Mexico. Sunbury native Rachel Bendler and her husband, Zack, operate Bella Run on 22 acres just outside of Athens.

Sunbury Halter & Saddle president Jocie Cardi said that, as of Saturday, the 4-H club had raised $525 to donate to Bella Run Equine, with additional money still coming in.
