Founded in 2011, The OSU Alumni Club of Delaware County is a non-profit organization whose primary mission is fund raising to support the Delaware County students attending The Ohio State University with scholarships.
Another adopted charitable effort of the Delaware Buckeyes is the Liberty Community Center in Delaware. This Sunday, October 16, from 1:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m., the Delaware Buckeyes will be at Hidden Creek Farms decorating and stuffing Halloween gift bags for the children who attend the community center.
“All of the supplies, including bags, markers, stickers, and candy will be provided,” said Delaware Buckeyes member Joyce Wagner. “Afterwards, enjoy the Hidden Creek Farms Fall Fest that includes a wiener roast, s’mores, chips, and beverage at the fire pit, plus hay wagon rides, straw maze, great pumpkin slide, petting zoo, and more.”
Wagner said there would also be a Halloween costume contest with prizes for best-dressed. She said the cost to attend and participate is free of charge, but you must RSVP no later than tomorrow, Friday, October 14. Preregister online at delawarebuckeyes.org.
“Be sure to print out your ticket and bring it to the event as this provides proof that you are preregistered so you can get through the gate,” Wagner said. “Bring the family and have a great time at the Delaware Buckeyes Fall Fest.”
Hidden Creek Farm is located a 581 South Galena Road – 1/4 mile south on South Galena Road from 36/37 east of the I-71 intersection.
