WCMH-TV’s on-air weatherman Dave Mazza will do a live broadcast from Myers Drive in Sunbury Estates (behind MacDonald’s and Wendy’s) on Halloween.

Mazza is asking Sunbury area children to be on location about 4:45 p.m. on Monday, October 31. The live, on-air Halloween broadcast on NBC4 will be from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Sunbury’s Beggars Night is from 6 to 8 p.m. in Sunbury neighborhoods. For additional information call the Sunbury Administration offices at 740-965-2684, or log on to < sunburyvillage.com >.

Parents who have questions about the broadcast can call Beverly Endslow at 843-338-1471.

Genoa and Harlem townships’ Trick or Treat night will also be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 31.

To get a head start on Halloween, Genoa Township will hold its annual Trick or Treat Village & Fire Safety Open House from noon to 3 p.m. this Saturday, October 22, at the Genoa Township Safety Complex, 7049 Big Walnut Road. The Village provides a safe environment, especially for younger children, to Trick or Treat and collect a bag full of candy.

For additional information call the Genoa Township Administration Office at 614-895-1126; or go to < genoatwp.com >.

The Village of Galena’s Beggar’s Night is scheduled for Monday, October 31. Ghosts and Goblins will be knocking on Galena neighborhood doors between 6 and 7:15 p.m. Galena’s Annual Halloween Costume Contest will follow at 7:30 p.m. at Galena Village Hall, 109 Harrison Street. Judges will be looking for the best ghouls, goblins, pirates, and princesses.

For additional Galena Beggar’s Night information call 740-965-2484, or log on to < galenaohio.org >.

One final note: Halloween is a children’s night out. Organizers of all eastern Delaware County Beggar’s Night activities encourage drivers to use extra caution on roadways and while driving in area neighborhoods.
