Krista Horrocks of the Association for Gravestone Studies will present Care and Preservation of Old Cemeteries and Tombstones during the Harlem Township Heritage Historical Meeting on November 17.
Horrocks will share the best practices for the preservation of old cemeteries. She has previously given historic cemetery-related presentations for the Village of Fredericktown and Dawes Arboretum in Newark (which has a historic cemetery on the arboretum grounds), as well as numerous presentations for the Association for Gravestone Studies (AGS) at the state and national level.
Meeting organizers said Horrocks would cater the presentation to cemeteries in Harlem Township area.
Harlem Township Heritage Historical meetings are open to the public. Light refreshments will be available, but RSVP to Vicki Tieche via email at < email@example.com > or by calling 740-965-4535 so organizers know how many attendees to expect.
