Private Schnurr at Inauguration


PFC Jack Schnurr, a 2015 Big Walnut High School graduate, was part of the President Trump Inauguration & Parade on January 20. PFC Schnurr’s unit, the 3rd U.S. Army Infantry Regiment, better known as The Old Guard, is assigned to all ceremonial duties at the White House and Capitol Building. The Old Guard also performs Military Funeral Honors at Arlington National Cemetery, and guard the Tomb Of The Unknown. PFC Schnurr should be no stranger to Big Walnut sports fans. He’s a 2015 Big Walnut High School graduate who was captain of the wrestling team. He completed US Army Basic Training and Advanced Infantry Training at Fort Benning, Georgia, before being assigned to The Old Guard. PFC Schnurr is the son of Tom and Jenny Schnurr of Sunbury, and the grandson of Gene and Joan Fuller, also Sunbury residents. Gene Fuller is the Post Adjutant of Sunbury’s American Legion Post 457.
