COLUMBUS—Speaker of the Ohio House Clifford A. Rosenberger (R-Clarksville) has appointed Rep. Andrew Brenner (R-Powell) as chairman of the House Education and Career Readiness Committee.
Representative Brenner released the following statement:
“It is an honor once again to be appointed chairman of the Ohio House Committee on Education and Career Readiness. I would like to thank Speaker Rosenberger for this appointment and ability to continue to effect change in regard to education policy in the state of Ohio. Education is one of the most important policy areas we as legislators are tasked with deliberating. This committee will see to it that policies such as reducing testing, keeping schools held accountable, fixing school funding, and giving more control back to the parents and school districts are thoroughly vetted and passed. I am grateful for this opportunity and look forward to continuing the educational success of our children.”
State Representative Andrew Brenner is currently serving his fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represents the 67th House District, which covers the western portion of Delaware County.
