Easter Egg Hunts in BW-area

Big Walnut-area Easter Egg Hunts promise plenty of treats for egg hunters, as well as prizes and an opportunity for parents and children to socialize with friends and neighbors.


They last for only a few minutes, they’re over in a virtual heartbeat, but children line up at Easter Egg Hunts everywhere in anticipation of that several-minute thrill-ride across lawns peppered with brightly colored Easter eggs filled with sweet treats.

The Village of Galena Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 15, at Ruffner Park in Galena. The Galena Easter Egg Hunt is a rain or shine event that begins promptly at 1 p.m., so don’t be late. Plastic eggs will be filled with candy and pennies. One child in each age group will be lucky enough to find a special egg to win a grand prize Easter basket loaded with goodies. Refreshments are served at the Ruffner Park Shelter House following the hunt.

On Saturday, April 15, members of Sunbury’s VFW Post 8736 will hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt at the Big Walnut High School Football Stadium.

Signups are from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., the Easter Egg Hunt for real hard-boiled colored eggs begins at 1 p.m. followed by drawings for prizes, including Bikes and Trikes.
