Autism support groups forming
The Learning Spectrum in Sunbury says it will soon be offering support groups to the parents and siblings of children with autism.
The support groups are open to all Learning Spectrum families, and anyone in the local community who is interested in participating.
The parent support group will allow parents to voice their feelings, concerns and frustrations in a supportive environment, with others who are going through a similar situation.
Marty Harrison, Learning Spectrum’s licensed social worker, will serve as the support group facilitator.
The Learning Spectrum provides individualized care to children with autism, both in and out of the school setting.
