The Delaware County League of Women Voters celebrated Equality Day on August 28, 2017. This marks 97 years since Congress ratified the 19th amendment which granted women the right to vote.
Representatives from the Delaware County Board of Elections updated the audience on the races and issues on the ballot Nov. 7 and answered many questions.
Mayor Carolyn Riggle shared her personal journey in politics and gave the League a Proclamation recognizing its accomplishments in citizen civic education and voter information.
We are very honored to be the recipients of this recognition.
Our League will hold a voter registration day on Sept. 26, 2017 at Columbus State Community College.
