Historical Society hosting Spring Candlelight Dinner
Members of the Big Walnut Area Historical Society are holding a Spring Candlelight Dinner in the Myers Inn Museum at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 15.
Alice Chapan, chairman of the event, has planned a traditional roast pork dinner with all the trimmings, prepared by members of the historical society and served by costumed servers in the 1816 Myers home and the 1824 Myers Tavern in the Myers Inn Museum.
Hannah Griffith will give an accounting of a woman who served as a soldier during the Civil War for the historic vignette of the evening; and dancers from the Academy-Irish Dance of Westerville will treat the guests to traditional Irish dancing to round out the evening.
The Museum Gift Shop will be open during the evening.
Tickets are a modest $30 per person. Income from the evening will go towards the upkeep of Myers Inn.
Seating is limited so reservations are needed. Reservations are available through Damon at 614-745-4375.
The Myers Inn Museum is located at 45 South Columbus Street facing the Sunbury Village Square.
