The Sunbury/Big Walnut Area Chamber of Commerce and the Big Walnut Local School District are joining forces to host the Annual Chamber Community Expo. In its 16th year, the Chamber Expo will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, April 24, in the Big Walnut High School gymnasiums.

The event is open to all residents of the Big Walnut community, and best of all admission is free.

Browse among more than 100 tables on hand to provide information aimed at increasing community awareness of the many outstanding programs, services, products and resources available locally in the Big Walnut community.

On hand will be the best of Big Walnut area arts and culture organizations, community services, government, schools and continuing education, and area clubs and other organizations.

In addition to local businesses showcasing their many products and services, residents will be able to receive information about a variety of issues related to health, fitness, nutrition, safety and wellness.

Many local community service organizations will also be on hand to distribute information and answer questions; and thanks to the cooperative efforts of local health care providers, basic health screenings will be available. Most screenings are free or given for a nominal fee.

Highlights of the evening will be student displays, along with instrumental and vocal music performances by Big Walnut students, and taekwondo and dance demonstrations by local businesses in the auxiliary gym.

Door prize drawings will be held throughout the evening and concessions will be available with a variety of food and drinks.

There is still plenty of time for area businesses and service providers to rent tables showcasing their products and services. The chamber member business or service table fee is $50 until Friday, April 11, $75 after April 11; non-member businesses and service providers may rent a table for $100, after April 11 the fee will be $125.
