This year, The Lima News will bring you expanded coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
Beginning this week, our newspaper will run a weekly update that includes results from the latest race, the latest Sprint Cup standings and thoughts from the drivers themselves.
Compiled by staff of a sister Civitas Media newspaper in the heart of NASCAR country, coverage starts this week with Daytona 500 qualifying this weekend and will continue until the final checkered flag of the season.
It also marks the launch of a new online contest, Fan Fever auto Racing Contest, sponsored locally by DG Essentials and American Pawn, on LimaOhio.com at http://j.mp/limaracing.
Racing fans can predict the top 10 finishers for each race for the chance to win weekly prizes. The overall winner for the year can win a trip for two to the 2015 Daytona 500, valued at $4,200.
Fans can also form groups to compete with their friends and chat on the site with their competition.
