Bowling

The Big Walnut Girls were defeated by Orange 2,029-1,508 on Jan. 4. The girls were led by Kaitlyn Morrison’s 319. The Boys also lost to Orange 2,131-1,876. There was a positive note for the boys. Henry Lemaster led the boys when he threw the season of series for the boys team of 409. This is a special feat seeing that Henry is a first year Bowler and has now led the Boys in their last 2 matches.

The Big Walnut Boys got their first win of the season by defeating Mt. Gilead Christian 2,006-1,268. They were led by Jack Belcher’s season-high 411 series. The girls also won bringing their record to 4-4. The girls won by a score of 1,645-1,155 and were led by Kaitlyn Morrison’s 338. Meredith Davis also had her career high series of 271.

The Big Walnut Boys won their second match in a row by defeating Westerville North 1,930-1,918 on Jan. 9. The Eagles were led by the 2 Seniors Drew Alzner and Reilly Mengel with a 347 and 346 series respectively. The Girls fell to North 1,584-1,511 and were led by Autumn Leidtke’s 305 series. Both teams have a match Jan. 10 against New Albany.
