Ohio State ROTC pack boxes for deployed troops

COLUMBUS – Ohio State’s Army ROTC and Office of Military and Veteran Services led a service project in conjunction with Operation Buckeye. The military-themed service project came just ahead of the Ohio State Buckeyes first-ever football game versus the Army Black Knights. Cadets and student veterans packed 200 care packages for deployed Ohio service members. The event took place Sept. 15, at Remembrance Park, facing Ohio Stadium.

Cedric Frierson Member of Ashland University Football Team

ASHLAND, OH (09/18/2017)— Cedric Frierson of Westerville, OH, is a member of the football team at Ashland University. Frierson is majoring in sport management.

Frierson is a 2016 graduate of Westerville Central High School. Frierson, a sophomore, is a safety for the Eagles.

The Ashland University football team competes in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). The Eagles are led by head coach Lee Owens, now entering his 14th season. The Eagles play their home games in Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field on the Ashland University campus. The Eagles finished last season at 9-2 and finished first in the GLIAC South Division. As a team, the Eagles were ranked No. 20 in the 2017 Lindy’s Division II Preseason Top 25 Poll. Brianna Brdicka Member of Women’s Tennis Team at Ashland University

Brianna Brdicka of Galena, OH, is a member of the women’s tennis team at Ashland University. Brdicka is majoring in toxicology.

Brdicka is a 2016 graduate of Olentangy High School.

The Ashland University women’s tennis team competes in NCAA Division II in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). They are led by second year head coach Lexi Bolesky, who came to AU after serving as an assistant coach at Div. I Coastal Carolina. The Eagles host their home matches on the newly renovated Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex, which was dedicated in a ceremony on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016. Austin Kondratick Member of Ashland University Men’s Golf Team

Austin Kondratick of Westerville, OH, is a member of the men’s golf team at Ashland University. Kondratick is majoring in sport management.

Kondratick is a 2015 graduate of Westerville Central High School.

The Ashland University men’s golf team competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. With the completion of the 2016-17 academic school year, the men’s golf team tied for third at the GLIAC North Invitational Tournament and also tied for ninth at the GLIAC Championships.
