DIY Farm Tour
A new adventure for the Delaware Soil & Water Conservation District is the first ever drive-it-yourself Farm Tour on August 18, 2018, 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Join us for this free, fun-filled family event, stopping at some or all of the five sites in whatever order you choose. This Farm Tour includes Wholesome Harvest CSA, 8628 Todd Street Road, Sunbury. Meet a young beginning farm family and see produce grown in a seasonal high tunnel, learn how to manage a woodland, taste honey and maple syrup, and make your own grapevine wreath.
Harlem Township Days
Today and tomorrow (Aug. 18-19) the annual Harlem Township Days takes place at the Township Hall and Community Park. There will be fireworks Saturday night; fire department display, craft and food vendors, kids events, live music, car show, square dance, car show, and a parade at 10 a.m. Saturday. There are also two tents — the Big Tent and the History Tent, filled with events both days. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Warriors & Survivors charity gala presented by Acloche

Paper Moon music
Saturday, August 18, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Music Under the Paper Moon. Visit the farm, get your one-of-a-kind photo taken with our paper moon and enjoy games, refreshments and live music! Gallant Farm, 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road, Delaware.
Genoa movie nights
For three evenings each summer, neighbors come together in Genoa Township at McNamara Park, 7049 Big Walnut Road, Galena, to watch a movie under the stars.
Bring a picnic, chair, blanket, bug spray and family for a new release that starts at dusk. Free popcorn is provided.
This season concludes Saturday, August 18 with “Coco.”
Horseshoe Road closure
The Delaware County Engineer’s office will be closing Horseshoe Road between Whipple Road and Sherwood Road for phase 2 of the culvert replacement project on Monday, August 20, 2018 through Thursday, August 23, 2018.
Pregnancy Resources offering program for men
Man-to-Man, an educational program designed for young men ages 18-25, will be offered on Aug. 20.
The class, taught by men, will help the participants understand the important role of fathers in the family. They will discuss healthy relationships, how to relate to their children, and overcoming addictions.
The class, presented by Pregnancy Resources and the Delaware County Fatherhood Initiative, will be offered at the Pregnancy Resources office, 652 W. Central Ave., Suite 30, Delaware, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bargain Book Sale
Friends of the DCDL Bargain Book Sale The Friends of the Delaware County District Library are hosting their bargain book sale at the Orange Branch, at 7171 Gooding Blvd, Delaware Ohio 43015: August 24 at 5-8 p.m.; August 25 at 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; August 26 at noon-3 p.m. Buy and fill a Friends of the DCDL bag for $15 (FOL Members $12) Refill a Friends of the DCDL bag $10 (FOL Members $8). All proceeds go back to the Delaware County District Library. Support the Friends, support the library.
Saturday, August 25 — Friday, August 31
The 9th annual Galena Summerfest is on Aug. 25, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., on the square in the quaint Village of Galena.
It began in 2009 and continues to get bigger and better every year. Families come from all over Ohio to celebrate the end of a fun summer with great music, delicious food, a variety of local vendors, and the unique outdoor community of Galena, Hoover Reservoir, and Big & Little Walnut Creeks.
Since then, the Summerfest has expanded, draws an increasing number of attendees each year, and offers great exposure for its generous sponsors and wide variety of popular vendors. In 2017, the event entertained approximately 10,000 people, expanded its fun KidZone, and supported over 70 vendors representing arts, food, and non-profits.
Condit auto show & ice cream social
See cool cars and eat cold ice cream from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25 at Condit Presbyterian Church, 15102 Hartford Road at the intersection of Hartford Road and County Road. Registration of cars is 11:30 a.m. to noon. Visit link below for further info about prizes and contact info.
Morrow County Fair
The Morrow County Fair is August 27 to Sept. 3 at 195 South Main Street, Mount Gilead. The headliner is country singer Colt Ford from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sept. 2. For more information, visit http://www.morrowcountyfair.org/
SWCI offering summer classes
The Second Ward Community Initiative is partnering with SourcePoint and the Delaware General Health District to offer a free tai chi class, which is designed to empower, strengthen and sustain. This class will be offered at SWCI from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Wednesdays (July 11-Aug. 29).
