To brighten the holiday season for local underprivileged children, Meijer and the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department are teaming up.
On December 3rd and 6th, over 60 local children will shop the aisles of the Lewis Center and Westerville Meijer stores to pick out holiday gifts for themselves and their families with help from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department.
Each holiday season, Meijer hosts more than one hundred “Shop with a Hero” events, which pair underprivileged children with area law enforcement personnel to shop for holiday gifts for themselves and their families.
Meijer is excited to continue the joyful tradition this year, donating thousands of dollars in gift cards so that children can celebrate the holidays—and build a bond with area police, fire and other local heroes.
“Shop with a Hero” is coming to your local community—over 60 children (across two events) will receive $150 in Meijer gift cards and be paired with law enforcement for their holiday shopping. Additional activities include gift wrapping and snacks.
