Some Lions roar, but during the holiday season members of the Sunbury Lions Club sell Christmas Trees on Sunbury Village Square, with proceeds going to Big Walnut Friends Who Share. It’s a local tradition to buy local where your dollars go for a worthy cause, helping friends and neighbors during these uncertain times. Available for purchase will be seven-to-eight-foot white pines for $35, six-to-nine-foot Canaan firs for $45, and ten-to-twelve-foot Canaan firs for $75. Lions Club members will be available to help with tree purchases on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sundays from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. If you can’t get there when the Lions are open for business, all trees are tagged. Select a tree, pay at Molly’s Flowers or Marla Evans Insurance Agency on Sunbury Square.
