Summer Savings Return to Otterbein with Credit Hour Discounts

Staff Report

Westerville – Now through April 1, students interested in enrolling at Otterbein University for undergraduate courses this summer can register for two or more classes and receive a discount. The first four credit hours are $564 each and each additional credit hour is billed at $386. The more hours you take, the more you save.

This is the perfect opportunity to catch the credits you need, catch some rays and work your summer job around classes. Affordable access to summer classes will help students complete their degrees on time, explore new areas of interest, or gain professional enrichment.

The discount applies to “early birds” who register before 5 p.m. on April 1 with the Registrar’s Office on the lower level of Towers Hall, 1 S. Grove St. Current students can enroll by 11:59 p.m. on April 1 online through Banner. New students or transient students can visit for applications.

“The discount offers traditional and adult students a chance to accelerate their learning opportunities over the summer while getting a price break at the same time,” said Otterbein President Kathy Krendl. “Summer courses give students a chance to pursue work on a minor, add another major, or help speed up their anticipated graduation date. Summer classes provide a 12-month model of learning versus a 9-month model, which many of us are accustomed to. We know that students have busy lives and need class options, convenience, and flexibility. The summer tuition discount is one way Otterbein can respond to the need for better access to quality higher education for Ohio families.”

This offer is not applicable toward May Term or graduate level classes or graduate students. Summer courses are open to current Otterbein students, entering freshmen and students attending other institutions who want to get ahead. Summer term at Otterbein is the perfect time to pursue your education.
