Annual Volunteer Fair To Be Held Thursday, March 23, 7–9 p.m.
DELAWARE – The Delaware County Historical Society will hold its sixth annual volunteer fair at The Barn at Stratford, 2690 Stratford Road, on Thursday, March 23. Committee chairs, volunteer coordinators and project managers will be in the barn from 7 – 9 p.m.; potential volunteers can stop by anytime during the evening to find out more about opportunities that would be a good fit for their interests and skills. Refreshments will be served.
In addition to helping with the many needs the Society has, especially as it expands its operations to the Meeker Homestead, volunteering at the Society is a great way to learn more about the Delaware community. A list of opportunities is posted on the Society web site (delawareohiohistory.org – under “Get Involved”, there is a link called “Volunteer”). Individuals who would like to volunteer, but can’t attend the fair should email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 740-369-3831, extension 3.
The Delaware County Historical Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, preserve and sustain interest in the history of Delaware County. The Barn at Stratford is operated by DCHS as an event venue for weddings, corporate meetings and other special occasions.
