Candidate for OH governor pledges tour to every county, releases 88 County website
Cincinnati — Gubernatorial candidate Connie Pillich announced her 88 County Campaign Strategy to turn the state of Ohio blue. As part of the strategy, Connie is pledging to personally campaign in all 88 counties of the state before the end of the year and to recruit County Leaders in all of the 88 counties.
“The path to Democratic success in Ohio can’t be to cede rural communities or refuse to compete for voters who have left our party – our road to winning again must include traveling everywhere and asking for votes from everyone,” said Connie Pillich. “From steel workers to coal miners and from recent college graduates to military veterans – we will leave no voter behind. We will offer real solutions to every citizen of Ohio, campaign for their votes, and give those who have left our party behind, a compelling reason to return home to the Democratic Party.”
Connie is no stranger to strong electoral performance in “red areas” of the state. As a State Representative, she won a Republican district three times — even after the GOP tried to gerrymander her out of her seat. When Pillich ran for State Treasurer, she was the highest vote-getter on the Democratic ticket and she significantly outperformed other Democrats in rural areas of Ohio.
As part of the 88 County Plan, the Pillich campaign unveiled a new section of Connie’s website devoted to tracking the progress of her tour around the state. The webpage is located at www.ConniePillich.com/88County.
Connie Pillich is a former state representative, small businesswoman, and former US Air Force Captain running to be Ohio’s next governor in order to bring bold leadership and innovative policy solutions to Columbus.
