Members of Galena United Methodist Church are holding their 6th Annual Moving With the Spirit 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, August 15, this year benefiting Adaptive Homes, Homes 4 Heroes Project, Delaware County.
Adaptive Homes is building a home at 293 Prairie Run Road in Sunbury for a Wounded Warrior, United State Marine Corps Veteran Mike Damroze and his wife Kelsey. The home is being constructed with Mike’s specific needs in mind, and the build will be ADA compliant.
Moving with the Spirit 5K travels along a scenic route in Galena that also goes through a gated community.
5K Participants Receive a race T-Shirt if registered by August 7 (Kids Race not eligible for T-shirt), plus other goodies.
The registration fee is $25 until August 7, $30 August 8 and after; Kids race $2.
Moving With the Spirit 5K Run/Walk Race will be held rain or shine, no refunds.
Packet pick-up is on race day. The race begins on Sunbury Road and finishes on church grounds. Water will be provided twice on the course and at the start and finish of the race.
