Are you a civic-minded Genoa Township resident and looking to become more involved? Genoa Township trustees are seeking volunteers to serve on township boards or commissions.
A recent press release noted that Genoa Township is highly dependent on the research, discussion and input provided by these boards and commissions.
“The issues, meeting frequencies, commitments, and size of these bodies are all of varying degrees, but their importance to our township operations and community vision are immeasurable,” the release states. “Membership on each of these panels is determined by our board of trustees. Many appointments typically occur in the spring as terms expire; however, it is common for vacancies to become available all throughout the year.”
The next round of expiring terms will occur at the end of March. Genoa Township residents interested in being considered for this round commission appointments should log on to genoatwp.com and click “Genoa Township Is Seeking Civic-Minded Residents To Serve On Boards and Commissions” for additional information and to download an application.
An application, along with a resume, should be submitted to township administrator Paul Wise, at email@example.com no later than 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26.
Boards and commissions for which trustees will be considering appointing or reappointing members by March 31 are the township zoning commission, the financial advisory and audit committee, the parks advisory board and the citizens’ police advisory board.
More information about each commission or board can be found at genoatwp.com or by contacting the township administration office at 614-895-1126.
