If you have ever wondered exactly how high you could pole vault, or wanted to see what it’s like to run towards the bar with a pole in your hand, you can try your luck during the Saturday, July 2, Big Walnut “Street Vault” at the Big Walnut High School track.
The Big Walnut Street Vault, a boys track and field fundraiser, is a fun way to test your skills – and courage – in a casual age-group competition.
Age groups include competitions for boys and girls. The age 13 and under competition begins at 9 a.m.; the age 14 to 17 group vaults start at noon; and the 18 and older age group vaults start at 2:30 p.m.
There will be first-, second- and third-place awards in each age group.
The cost is $25 per competitor and includes a Big Walnut Street Vault T-shirt.
Payment must be made by June 26 for shirt orders. Walk-ons are welcome, but the day of competition fee is $30 with no T-shirt.
