Football camp set for July 24-27

The Big Walnut football coaching staff will host the 12th annual “Eagle Pride Football Camp” from 6 to 8 p.m. July 24 through July 27 at the Big Walnut High School practice fields.

Big Walnut High School head varsity football coach Joe Weaver said camp participants would learn the same techniques and fundamentals that are taught to high school players.

“Pride, discipline, attitude and team are the cornerstones of the Big Walnut football program,” Weaver said. “These are qualities that we emphasize every day. You will also learn about leadership, self-awareness and setting goals in order to promote individual success.”

Weaver said the desire to compete, win and be a champion are the feelings that his staff wants to impart in all football camp participants.

“Most importantly, this camp gives you an opportunity to meet great people and have fun,” Weaver added.

Weaver said the camp is for boys in grade 3 through grade 8. Camp participants should wear a T-shirt, shorts and cleats, and bring a water jug. A trainer will be present during the camp.

The camp fee is $50. Registration forms are available on the Big Walnut School District athletic website at Click “Camps & Summer Info,” and then click the “2016 Eagle Pride Football Camp” link.

Make checks payable to “Big Walnut Football Boosters” and mail to Joe Weaver, Big Walnut High School, 555 S. Old 3-C Highway, Sunbury OH 43074.
