WPD Arrests Former Whitehall City Schools Drama Teacher

Staff Report

The Westerville Division of Police (WPD) has charged Patrick B. McGregor II, 29, of Westerville with three felony charges related to an alleged sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl who was once his student. McGregor was employed as a drama instructor by Whitehall City Schools. The district terminated his employment in September.

McGregor allegedly had a sexual relationship with his student for several months, beginning in May. On at least two occasions, investigators say McGregor had sexual contact with the minor at homes in Westerville.

Investigators examined the cell phone of the juvenile victim, finding evidence in the form of text messages and photos between McGregor and the minor, including nude photos of the girl requested by McGregor. McGregor’s phone was seized with a warrant, but text messages and photos had been deleted.

McGregor was arrested earlier today (Nov. 14) and transported to the Franklin County Jail on one count of Sexual Battery, a third-degree felony; one count of Tampering with Evidence, a third-degree felony; and one count of Pandering Sexually Oriented Material Involving a Minor, a fourth-degree felony.
