During the Oct. 27 Genoa Township Board of Trustees meeting, chair Rick Carfagna introduced the township’s new Director of Communications, Leslie Strader.
Strader originally from Upper Arlington, graduated from The Ohio State University in Hospitality Management, Business.
“I always had a strong interest in the environment, so I ended up working with the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s Environmental Outreach Program,” Strader said. “I went to work for Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman in 2010 as an Environmental Policy Advisor where I wrote press releases, arranged media events, created talking points, and did a lot of communications work.”
While doing all of the above, Strader earned a Masters in Public Administration from Ohio University. Six months ago, Strader moved to Genoa Township with her husband Adam and their child.
Carfagna said the trustees and the township administration are pleased with Strader’s performance.
“Leslie has been here one-and-a-half weeks, and she hit the ground running,” Carfagna said.
