Delaware, Ohio – On Friday, April 21, 2017, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an address on Fancher Road in Harlem Township regarding a suspicious vehicle.
When deputies arrived, they located the vehicle with two occupants inside. Information on the vehicle’s license plates showed it was registered in Louisville, Kentucky to Joshua Cambron.
Contact was made with the Louisville Metro Police Department who informed the deputies that Mr. Cambron had been reported missing and endangered from Louisville, Kentucky, and a search was being conducted. Information gathered by the deputies indicated the vehicle was a potential crime scene and a search warrant was obtained for the vehicle.
The suspects were taken to the Delaware County Jail.
On Saturday, April 22, 2017, Mr. Cambron’s body was recovered from a location in the Louisville, Kentucky area.
The suspects are identified as Robert L. Carpenter, 37, of Kentucky, and Misty L. McKnight, 39, also of Kentucky. They have been arraigned in Delaware County Municipal Court on charges of murder, kidnapping, tampering with physical evidence, and theft of a motor vehicle. All evidence collected in this case was turned over to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
