Registration is not required for the following programs offered by Preservation Parks of Delaware County:
• Sunday, Oct. 11, 3 p.m. “Ravine Hike.” The shale cliffs will be our backdrop as we head down the stream corridor, stopping to enjoy whatever the season has to offer. A light sprinkling of geology, botany and birding will be part of the hike. Be prepared for obstacles in the stream, and wear appropriate footgear. Ages 16 and older. Shale Hollow Preserve, 6320 Artesian Run, Lewis Center
• Thursday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m. “Homeschool Adventures: Mushroom Mayhem.” We’ll look at the important role of these decomposers, during a hike. Ages 7-12, accompanied by an adult. Gallant Woods Preserve, 2151 Buttermilk Hill Road.
• Saturday, Oct. 17, 10 a.m. “Hike for Health.” Continue walking this fall! If this is your first Healthy Hike with us, sign up at register by Oct. 12 @preservationparks.com. Hike is free; $5 fee for a tee-shirt. All ages. Blues Creek Preserve, 9627 Fontanelle Road.
