Addison May is Big Walnut’s Student of the Month for October.
During last Thursday’s school board meeting, May, a General Rosecrans Elementary School fourth-grader, was recognized as Student of the Month.
Addison, who enjoys riding her bicycle, coloring and gymnastics, said her favorite subject at school is science.
Addison’s teacher, Jennifer Restucci, said she works very well independently, and is responsible for completing daily assignments neatly and to the best of her ability.
“Addison comes to school each day eager to learn, works extremely well with others in small groups and one on one,” Restucci said. “She is very respectful to her fellow classmates and teachers, and is a terrific role model for other students to follow.”
Addison’s mother said she loves to learn, has always been naturally curious, helpful and a very thoughtful soul; that she is the type of person that knows when someone needs a hug, and provides one.
Addison’s parents are John and Tanya May. She has an older brother, Wyatt, who is a student at Big Walnut Intermediate School. Addison also has a pet hamster, Snowball.
