Interested in local government issues? We need you!
Ohio’s Open Meetings Act, commonly referred to as the “Sunshine Law,” ensures that people must be able to observe the operations of their representative government. Delaware County League of Women Voters (LWV) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to informing the voting public about issues that affect us all.
You can help Delaware County LWV with one of our important tasks … be a part of “Observer Corps”. We need people to attend local government meetings, take notes and share information with other League members. Local League observers are the eyes and ears of the League, learning how government works and about issues that are or may become items for local study and action.
We are seeking individuals (regardless of gender or political affiliation) to attend public meetings of the Delaware County Commissioners, City Council, Township Trustees and all Local School Boards. No matter where you live, we need Observers in all parts of Delaware County!
