As part of its Summer Solstice Music Festival the week of June 22, the Central Ohio Symphony will perform in Sunbury at the Sunbury Community Library on Friday, June 26, at 7:30 p.m.
The music will be classic, patriotic and pops selections that will appeal to all ages.
The Symphony Brass, a group of 18 brass and percussion musicians, will play on the Library’s outdoor lawn that evening. Music Director Morales-Matos, a noted trombonist, will both lead and perform with the ensemble. In the event of rain, the concert will move inside.
The concert is free and open to the public. Please bring a lawn chair or a blanket to sit on.
Symphony Executive Director Warren W. Hyer says the group is excited about to coming to Sunbury. “We want to be able to reach more people in the communities where they are,” he said. “We have looked for a long time for a chance to perform in Sunbury.
This concert, part of a weeklong festival by the Symphony in Delaware and surrounding communities, is funded by the Delaware County Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.
