BEREA, OH (10/29/2018)— Katie Cochran (Sunbury/Big Walnut High School) is one of seven first-year student-athletes to continue her women’s basketball career at Baldwin Wallace University this winter.

Head coach Cheri Harrer, who is in her 29th season in Berea, returns 10 letterwinners, four starters and two All-Ohio Athletic Conference athletes from last year’s team that finished 15-11 overall and 11-7 in the conference.

BW opens up the 2018-19 campaign on the road on Tuesday, Nov. 13, against St. Vincent (Pa.) College. The Yellow Jackets begin OAC play on Wednesday, Nov. 28, when they travel to take on Heidelberg University.

Jerald Gaydos Member of Men’s Club Soccer at Ashland University

ASHLAND, OH (11/01/2018)— Jerald Gaydos of Sunbury, OH, is a member of Ashland University’s Men’s Club Soccer team.

Gaydos is majoring in exercise science. Gaydos is a 2015 graduate of Big Walnut High School.

Competitive sport clubs compete with other university or town sponsored sport clubs, or teams, and travel to different events/games throughout the year. Competitive sport clubs are more serious in nature, similar to varsity athletics, and may involve playoff components to conclude their season.
